After spending some time on Google researching new techniques for breast cancer reconstruction, I am still finding very little useful information for what happens when things go wrong.
There are websites and some doctors using fat injections for various procedures but not to regenerate radiated skin such as in my case.
Why is that?
Breast cancer reconstruction technique using fat injections to stimulate stem cells and regenerate radiated skin post breast cancer treatment. The procedure was used as a last attempt following numerous infections which caused me to lose the implants and tissue expanders during my breast cancer reconstruction. Using the liposuction procedure for breast cancer reconstruction is not new, but using liposuction (fat injections) to regenerate the skin is.

Welcome to Builld-A-Boob..after the cure! I've written this book for women who have undergone breast cancer reconstruction and have not been successful. Many of us have scars that run deep inside along with the scars that remain outside. I also want women and men to know that the procedure used on me was done through trial and error (mostly error). The book chronicles my surgeries and offers hope. I want to open a dialogue and have a place for people to go to for support.
